Our Starclassic Maple snare drums come with a thin 5mm shell, made from Canadian maple wood, which offers high solidity and flexibility. Increased strength is provided by Sound Focus Rings cut from the same wood as the snare drum. This snare drum combines incredible power with maple's intense and warm tone. Equipped with 10 lugs to ensure precise and balanced tuning. Zinc die-cast hoops provide superior upper end crack and response.

When you move the lever to the on position, the lever simultaneously locks at the highest tension position—the lever won't slip to the off position even on the loosest tension settings. The MUS80A is totally secure when you want it on—and easy to switch off when you want it off.
The MUS80B not only allows subtle snappy snare adjustments, you can change your snare side head without removing the snare wires. Just loosen two screws and the snare wires easily detach from the butt. Reattachment—with your original set-up intact—is just as simple.
When selecting professional drums, you want an appearance as distinctive as the sound. Starclassic Bubinga ELITE/G Maple now offer the choice of shell hardware finished in Chrome, Brushed Nickel Plated, Black Nickel Plated.
To order Starclassic Bubinga ELITE/G Maple drums with Black Nickel Plated hardware simply add the letters "BN" to the drum model number. For Brushed (Hairline) Nickel Plated hardware, add "H".
The Hold Tight™ washer is a totally unique invention: a non-loosening washer! Its cup-shaped stainless steel washer contains a rubber ring so the tension rod pushes both the cup washer and the rubber ring. Normally, vibrations will eventually loosen the tension rod. But the softness of Hold Tight's rubber ring keeps it in contact with both the tension rod and the hoop at all times and maintains friction between them so that tension is always preserved.
